Oso, a Pomeranian mix from Baldwin Park, California, is perplexed and depressed. On March 28, his owners surrendered him to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center because they no longer had time for him.

For 18 years, Oso had been part of a family, and it appears that he was welcomed while he was young and healthy, but getting old is seldom nice, and it is unfortunate that Oso will never understand why he was abandoned by the only people he likely ever knew.

Oso is my name, and I am a male red Pomeranian mix. The shelter thinks I’m about 18 years old. I weigh 20.50 pounds. I’ve been a shelter resident since March 28, 2022.

“ision is impeded,” according to Oso’s medical notes. (Oso is probably blind since he keeps hitting the wall and the cage.) Despite some discomfort on the rear of his body, Oso is walking and even wagging his tail (I am sure he is in pain – back, spine, and back legs). As seen by his intake photo, Oso was panting.”

“as well as being reviewed,” according to Shelter. FRIENDLY Now I’m confident Oso has oral issues that will need extensive dental therapy. Because I don’t have Oso’s medical records, I don’t know if he can hear or if he has a heart condition. Videos and extra images have been provided in the comments.”

For further information about this animal, contact Los Angeles County Animal Control – Baldwin Park at (626) 962-3577. Inquire about the animal ID number A5469379.

UPDATE: Since Oso was in pain, he was mercifully euthanized on Monday. Little angel, rest in peace.
